A shiny red trike!

...for Madi!

Madi's great grandma Jeanne contributed to the fund and we finally went to pick it up a week ago. THANKS GRANDMA!!

She loves it! In fact for the first few days we had some tears shed over Madi having to come to the table to eat with us instead of sitting on her new "BIKE!" (that's she sounds every time she says it)

She is quite the handy little girl :)

Vuala! Here you have it.

Taking it for a a test drive. vroooom!
My favorite feature is the wood panel on the back.
Something tells me she will be giving her little brother or sister (we find out this Monday!!!) lots of rides.

madi trike17
She's not too sure about how this whole pedal thing works quite yet.

madi trike21
So cute! Oh and her favorite part about the bike is the bell. Can't get enough of that!

Daddy showing her how to fly on her trike.
Something tells me she'll never quite master this one on her own.

If only it wasn't blustery and raining today we could go get some use out of it. Looking forward to the summer!!

Celebrate!

Last weekend we were able to spend some time with David's family. While we were there we celebrated Madi's birthday AGAIN! Man this kid has a party every day :) It was a bunch of fun and of course she loved all the attention.

Eyes wide in wonder of what might be in those bright green packages. Oh and I'm sure you can't miss all the drool on her dress! I guess it's just all a part of being 1 :)

The party animals. We sure love them!

Lets see...we have a tickle monkey [When you barely rub his foot, he giggles and it make Madi laugh so hard]. There's a doll in a backpack with all her baby supplies. [Perfect for church!] Then we have a pelican that you pull by the string. His mouth opens and shuts and the balls in his mouth pop up and down.

Grandma Kathy tried to show her how it works.

She got a little distracted by her dolly backpack :)

As you can see, Madi doesn't quite understand that you have to pull gently. Instead she ends up dragging him upside down behind her. I just makes me laugh. She'll learn one day...I think :)
Oh yes and we can't forget about the DELICIOUS strawberry short cake we had!

Oooo that whipped cream is heaven [that's what Madisyn was thinking I'm sure of it!]

The love my life. We can't imagine our lives without our sweet girl. So happy :)

"Where did that yummy stuff go? Alright, this isn't funny I'm ready for more!"
Time for bed little lady.

P.S. For those of you who saw the previous post I just have to share something really cute! David came home from skiing and hopped right on the computer. I showed him how to work photoshop...well just the very basics. He edited his pictures and did his diagram. Then he said "ok I'm ready to post it!" He was so proud to do his very first post on our blog. Not bad for a first timer! You go babe :)

Play Time!

Madi&Sydney
The second Sydney walked through the door, Madisyn let out a squeal of excitement! There hasn't been much for her to look forward to lately besides mommy and daddy of course :) We don't get outside much during the winter. So, Madi loves it when she has friends to play with!
Here's some cute shots of the morning glories themselves. Enjoy!

*Pam I have these separately if you want a copy of any of them.

Madi's First Christmas

I have been avoiding this post because there's so much to say. So, I'll just keep it simple. We drove to Cali for 2 weeks to spend Christmas with my family. Then, we came back to Snohomish to spend a "late Christmas" with David's family. Our vacation was packed full of family, fun, gifts, down time, shopping, movies, bowling, golfing, games and lots of food! I have over 600 pictures of our vacation, so I posted a bunch of the best ones on our Picasa photo site. Here our a few of the highlights in no particular order :)

Going out to breakfast Christmas morning

Out to lunch with grandma and grandpa Greenwood. Love you both!

Madi was so happy about her first Christmas morning! (she was actually just hungry =)

Madisyn got a spare her very first time bowling! What a rock star!

The incredibly adorable stocking I made (with my mommy's help) for Madisyn...I LOVE IT!

Madisyn's first pony tail...what a doll!

Spending time with my Tricia and her little family :) Best buds

Grandma and Grandpa Fairbanks...they are the best!

Madisyn's most favorite Christmas gift. Once she opened this bad boy, all she wanted to do was play with it. Thanks grandma Jeanne!

Yay hoooo! I got my sewing machine...stay tuned for many wonderful things made with this...I hope :]

We also got our family pictures taken by the fabulous Jana. Check them out!

What more could a girl want? She's got toys galore and lots of love from everyone. You'd think she would be completely content... but what is it that she's playing with?

Tags! Madisyn loves to play with tags. If any of her toys have tags, those are the ones that keep her attention. It is so funny. I guess that'll save us some money on toys. We can just find clothes or anything with a tag. I love all the cute little quirks about my little dolly babe. Love you Madisyn!

Two Great Finds

As babies get older, they need more toys and things to keep them entertained and help them develop. The swing used to be enough to keep Madisyn preoccupied long enough for me to get something done, but not anymore! I've been looking at different bouncers and play mats, but they are so expensive. So, I went to the local Goodwill and found these. They are great and Madisyn loves them. Thank goodness for second hand stores!

Here's the Fisher Price play mat that was...$2.99! It can be used in three different ways and it's so adorable and colorful. It didn't come with any toys to hang from it, but I already had some rings you can connect. So, I just hung some toys we already have and it works perfectly!

Madi loves tummy time with this thing, cus there's so much to keep her entertained. I just put a blanket under the arches for mow, cus I haven't gotten a chance to throw the mat in the washer that came with it.

One of my friends was telling me how her son loves the Ocean Wonders aquarium she got him, and I thought Madisyn would enjoy it too. I looked to see how much they were and decided it wasn't worth it at the time. A few days after I found the play mat, I went back to see if they had a walker, jumper, or something like that and I found this Ocean Wonders for...$2.99! I was so excited cus it's in really good condition and it works perfectly. It plays like 10 different songs, lights up, and bubbles come up from the bottom. Madisyn stares at that thing and can't get enough of it. It gives me time to pick up the room and make the bed. Yay!
