As for last week...

We survived.

Madisyn came down with a nasty stomach flew while I was gone and it all came to the surface (literally) once I got home.

The week was filled with crackers, lots of laundry (I mean LOTS!), cuddle time in front of the tv, sleepless nights, upset tummies, and the diapers...well I won't even go there.

Needles to say, everything is cleaned and sanitized. Madi is eating and playing like crazy and the exploding diapers are just a bad memory.

Yep, we survived!

Here's to a new week of fun, hopefully some sun, and lots of healthy days :)

She was just being such a ham the other night...

I couldn't resist.

PS. See those totally adorable pjs she's wearing? The very next morning, she got pink nail polish on the pants :( At least I got some pics the night before right?

Catch up...California

I just have to say. I LOVE the bay area. It will always be my home away from home. The weather was perfect and the company was even better. I love my momma and daddy.

great gs march 10
David's grandparent live about 5 minutes away from my parents. We never miss an opportunity to spend time with them when we visit. Thanks for lunch!

This handsome young man is my little brother. He's taller than me now though. He got home from school just as the grandparents were leaving. Grandpa served in the army. Which explains the pose :)

My dad took the day off on Friday to take Madi on her first train ride! She LOVED it. Actually that's an understatement. This was one excited girl. Once we got off the train, we took the bus to the discovery museum., played for hours, went to lunch, took the bus back to the train station, and went back home. It was a wonderful day with papa.

Madisyn is totally in love with animals. Every time we come to visit she looks all over the house for the "kitty". Once she finds her, she squeals so loud with joy that the cat bolts away, afraid for her life. Madi runs after her saying "nice nice". Assuring the cat that she's really nice. I get a good laugh out of it every time. With that said, this is a very rare moment :)

It was so nice we got to wear our sandals and skirts!

My dad loves to make us big yummy breakfasts. It's something that I always look forward to. It's always made with so much love. Yummm!

This is my baby sister and I love her. She is too much fun. (that's chocolate frosting in case you were wondering)

Kayla had her senior cruise on saturday and I got to be a part of the "getting ready" process. I miss that! I love getting my sisters glammed up for their special nights.

Two prego sisters are better than one :) I love that we get to share this time. She's due in the next couple of weeks. I'm going to be an aunt to a baby girl! I've never been an auntie before. I'm sure I'll do fine. I am excited if you can't tell.

David and Bryce (my bro in law) came to pick Madi and I up from the airport. He had never been to seattle before. So, we had to show him how we eat "seattle style". The Crab Pot is amazing!

It was a wonderful trip as always. Just to add a cherry on the top, the flight home was pretty empty. Madi and I ended up being moved to a row where we had the ENTIRE row to ourselves. They gave Madi her own head phones and drink. It was no doubt a tender mercy from Heavenly Father.

Couldn't have been better

Oh and we also celebrated Madi's bday the night before we cam home, but I'm going to put that in her bday post. Ok now I'm done :)

Suprises!

Surprise #1...

Madisyn and I are taking a last minute "birthday" trip to visit my parents in the bay area! They miss us and we miss them. So, we're going!

Madi is turning the big 2 on the 17th (St. Patricks Day) she's our lucky charm :)

100_2162

It is free for her to fly until she's 2. So, we're milking it for all it's worth pretty much. We fly out the 9th and come back the 16th. haha

We're going to party in California...come back...and party in Washington. Lucky girl :)

Surprise #2...

Well, it's not really a surprise, but it's exciting to me!

I heard my growing baby's heartbeat on wednesday and it was a beautiful sound.

Honestly this pregnancy is just flying by. It's sad to say, I don't sit and think about being pregnant and adding baby #2 to our family like I did with Madi. There's just so much going on and it just kind of feels like I'm pregnant behind the scenes if that makes any sense. I couldn't be more excited to be a mommy of 2, it's just different being pregnant this time around. In 6 months he or she will be here. That seems like no time at all!

We get to find out what we're having in 6 weeks! I remember getting to THE ULTRASOUND took forever with Madi, but with this one I just can't slow time down enough to really anticipate it.

I'm feeling great! I've only gained 2 and a half pounds so far. So, I'm pretty glad about that. Hopefully I won't gain 51 pounds like last time. Yikes! I promise I'll put up belly pictures soon! My plan is to take a picture every fast sunday (so once a month). That's what I did with Madi and I love looking back and seeing my progression. Can't miss that opportunity this time around! This Sunday, after church is belly picture day! I'll post them up before I leave for California.

Surprise #3...

This one really is a surprise, even to me as of this morning.

See this quaint fixer upper of a house.........(that's the front yard. the door is out of the picture to the right)

David and I put an offer on it this morning! We need to tidy it up quite a bit.

paint (lots of paint!)
new carpet
new windows
new floor in the bathroom
a few appliances
quite a bit of yard work
and lots of good old fashioned elbow grease.

Luckily, we have many hands willing to help!

It's a steal of a deal and it has so much potential! I'm so excited to make it beautiful. Best of all, it'll be ours.

It has a good sized fenced backyard, 3 bedrooms, and it's still close to family.

I might be jumping ahead of myself here. We don't know if our offer has been accepted until the beginning of next week, but it looks very promising. I just had to share!

I'll keep you updated on the progress. I'm sure you'll know more about our place by the time it's finished than you want to :)

Yet again

...I am behind on blogging.

I have been VERY blessed to escape any morning sickness with both pregnancies so far. I have nothing to complain about. The thing is, I am done for by 2 in the afternoon everyday. This whole fatigue thing is taking some getting used to. I used to use the 2 hours or so that I have to myself while Madi takes her nap, for blogging.

Now, I use it for sleeping.

That doesn't leave much time for my online journal keeping. It's just something I have to figure out. Change is a good thing.

No post is complete without some pictures so here you go....

We have way too much fun playing make believe.

She amazes me everyday (sometimes "good amazement" and sometimes "not so good amazement" , but amazement nevertheless)
Like I said, I have nothing to complain about :)

Greenwood Christmas!

The Monday before Christmas, David and I did our gift exchange with the Greenwoods. Madi pretty much just wanted to rip the wrapping paper off the gift, take a quick look at what was inside, and throw it down just in time to rip open the next one. Oh Christmas with a 1 1/2 year old :)

Madi got this adorable rocking horse that trots, neighs and wags its' tail. Yee Haw!!

David and I got FlipVideo!!! We opened it right up and recorded the rest of the nights events as well as the weeks to follow. I'm so glad we have a video camera to capture all the sweet (and not so sweet) moments of our lives!

THANKS GREENWOODS! WE LOVE YOU!!

Some moments from this week I want to remember.

I am not the best at taking snapshots of everyday things. So, this week I made sure my camera was on hand to capture a few candids of the sweet moments in my life :)

Nail Polish & Carpet....

....don't mix!

IMG_0349_0261

So....today Madi and I were having so much fun just hanging out at home. I got the bright idea to paint Madisyn's toenials and fingernails. I got out a towel and put it under her feet to protect the carpet of course. We got all ten toenails and five of her fingernails all sparkly pink. Then something HORRIBLE happened! The bottle of polish tipped over and missed the towel. OH NO! In my panic I ran to the computer and searched "how to remove nail polish from carpet". The first thing that stood out was to keep it wet. So, I poured water over it and started dabbing. I ran back to the computer and kept reading. After using just about every suggestion on there the stain was 90% gone. That's good, but not good enough. I put Madi down for her nap (poor thing was so confused why mommy was all of a sudden all flustered and was probably wondering why she still had five fingernails unpainted). Never the less she went to bed. I read a few more suggestions and tried the final cleaning product which worked like a charm. WINDOW CLEANER! The windex took the rest of the stain out and you can't even tell that I had a knucklehead moment while sitting on my in-law's carpet. OH THANK YOU SEARCH ENGINE AND WINDEX! Lesson learned. Don't use nail polish while sitting on the carpet especially when it's not YOUR carpet...and if you do then use windex to get it out :)

Life Is Good

Things are fabulous! We are all moved in and doing great. The Lord really has guided us throughout this whole move.

Here's the series of events from packing day to moving day...
-friday, pick up truck at noon
-bring back and start loading up!
-pack the kitchen (with the help of David's cousin KaLynne) thanks you!!
-collapse on the air mattress at 10pm
-wake up at 7 am sat morning...forget to eat breakfast
-run to good ol Fred Myer for 3 more boxes
-wake madi up and stick her in her high chair with some cereal and 1/2 of a banana
-throw the rest of the junk in boxes and toss them in the truck with 2 minutes to spare before the "cleaning crew" arrived
-10 am my amazing friends arrived...David and Madi took off in the truck.
-10:40 am the house is SPOTLESS! amazing I must say.
-11am Mark came over and did the walk through...I handed the keys in and said by to my sweet home in Ellensburg.
-met my dear Lindsay for a much needed lunch at the Valley Cafe. DELICIOUS!
-began the 2 hour drive to my new home.
-here's where you can start paying attention....
As I was driving out of the town I called home for a year and a half...where I had made friends with so many amazing women and had great experiences...I had the most incredible wave of peace come over me. I just couldn't help but wipe the tears from my face. I was filled with love for David's family and for the Lord for opening this door for us. Yes, He closed EVERY other door...but he left the right one wide open and rolled out the red carpet. I know without a doubt that this is where we're supposed to be. For what reason I know not, but I know it's right. I am so grateful for that sweet conformation from my Heavenly Father. I am so excited to see what He has in store for us here. For those who don't know we're living with David's parents. We lived with them for a year while I was pregnant with Madi. Here we are again, but here is where we're supposed to be.

Just to add some flair here's some pics of the move :)

Big Girl

Madisyn has become quite the grown up lately.
See for yourself!
